We have been asked a number of times for clarification of the rules on tokens and how they are used. On page 2 of the Rulebook of our 2008 UK edition of About Time it mentions points. This is an error as there are NO points in About Time – the only measure of value is tokens. It should say:
A token marked ‘1’ is taken from the bag and put in the Pot at the start of each round. Tokens marked with a 10 never go from the bag into the Pot. These tokens are equivalent to, and can be swapped for, a token marked with a 10, when players start to accumulate lots of tokens.
No tokens are distributed to players at the start of the game.
